Anita Dawn Jeffries, 45, gained her wings on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at her residence after a heroic battle with cancer.  She was the daughter of Delores “Dee” Jeffries who survives.

In addition to her mother, “Dee” of the home she leaves to cherish her memories, sons: Eston Jeffries and Michael Atwater both of the home; grandmother: Edna P. Jeffries, an uncle: Johnny Jeffries; an aunt: Mary Vaden all of Burlington; her special son Daniel Lewis of Mebane and a host of other relatives and friends. 

Dawn was a 1990 graduate of Eastern Alamance High School and continued her education at North Carolina Central University and Alamance Community College.  Dawn was employed with the Orange County Department of Social Services where, true to her nature, she enjoyed helping people.
